The SouthWestern Ohio Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts (SWOAPE) focuses solely on Planted Aquariums and their inhabitants. SWOAPE was conceived in the spring of 2005 by three hobbyists in the Dayton, Ohio area who all shared a passion for Planted Aquariums. Our goal is to increase public awareness of planted aquaria and to help fellow aquarists obtain both healthy plants and a healthy planted aquarium.

SWOAPE members have planted aquariums ranging from low light natural planted tanks through high light CO2 injected tanks so there is something available for every level of "aquatic gardener". Everyone from the beginner to the accomplished aquarist is invited to share their knowledge and experiences with each other in our forums.
